Ear

Two distinct schools, never merged — each is detailed below. Their sources are now recorded in the project registry; authority, counting, codes, the navigation chart, and the drafting date remain for Justin to decide (mandate MN.5).

Standardized Chinese school

Chinese national standard GB/T 13734-2008, “Nomenclature and location of auricular points” (耳穴名称与定位), which replaces GB/T 13734-1992. For the ear, an authority comparable to what GB/T 12346 is for channel points.

No auricular point exists yet in the product’s database. The standard is indexed and its source has just been recorded in the bibliographic registry.

European school (Nogier / Bahr)

A school founded by Lyon physician Paul Nogier (1908-1996) from the auricular somatotopy he described in 1951, with Frank Bahr contributing to the 1975 “Loci auriculomedicinae” chart.

No auricular point exists for this school either. Its sources — an auricular-diagnosis text, a history-of-the-method article, and the French reference work — have just been recorded in the bibliographic registry.
