What the finger seeks
The search is by deep, flat palpation at mid-thigh, in the diagonal fibres of the muscle’s middle portion; in some patients this place can only be reached by flat palpation passing behind the gracilis muscle that covers it.

What pressure brings out
The pain gathers in the groin, below the inguinal ligament, and over the anteromedial thigh, nearly to the knee.
The authors give no spillover zone of its own for this spot; they specify only that the groin pain is felt as deep, almost as if it were inside the pelvis.
